P Rajesh is a trained JIPM-S-TPM Instructor & Facilitator providing training and consultancy on TPM to Tata Motors Ltd, TTK LIG Ltd, Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd, Gabriel India Ltd, Sterling Tools Ltd etc.

He is a Mechanical Engineer from Crescent Engineering College and passed out of College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University, with distinction in ME (Thermal Sciences).

He has 6 years experience with the Energy Management Cell of CII in training, consultancy and monitoring implementation of Energy Conservation projects in many companies covering cement, steel, Engineering, leather, pulp and paper, foundry, pharmaceuticals and chemical Industries.

He visited Italy to study the Energy conservation methodologies being adopted in buildings and public utilities such as power generation and combined power and heat distribution systems under an Italian Project. He presented many papers on Energy Conservation at many forums such as PCRA, IIT etc for increasing the spread Energy conservation in Indian Industry.

As Head of CII Italy office in Milan, for 2 years, was responsible for the promotion of business relations between the two countries. He was instrumental in signing of MoU between CII and Federacchai (Federation of Iron and Steel Industry in Italy) for exchange of information and details on this sector between Indian and Italian Industry.

During his tenure as Head of CII Kerala State Office, successfully organized “Source India 2001 which was a unique programme in Kerala showcasing Kerala Industry through Exhibition and knowledge sharing through seminar.

He has over 6 years experience in training; consultancy and operation of TPM Club India and has presented many papers on Total Productive Maintenance. He is presently based at the CII’s Center of Excellence at Bangalore CII Institute of Quality.

Mr Abdul Wadood

Mr. Abdul Wadood is an Electrical Engineer from BIT Sindri, Dhanbad. He has worked in Tata Steel, Bearings Division for 17 years in different capacities. He is a trained JIPM-TPM Instructor by Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance, Japan and was responsible for implementation of TPM at this company which successfully challenged the TPM Excellence Award during the year 2004. He has also gone through several Management & Technical training from various institutes in India and abroad e.g. XLRI, IIT, IRCA, AOTS & JICA.

His paper on TPM Implementation was presented in 34th Conference on Computers and Industrial Engineering, San Francisco, during November 14 16, 2004

He is working as Principal Counsellor TPM in TPM Club India, and is providing training & consultancy to various companies e.g. Tata Motors, Hero MotoCops Ltd, Munjal Showa Ltd, SKF India Ltd, Sona Koyo Steering System Ltd, Sona Somic Lamforder Ltd, Delphi TVS, Fedral Mugalm, Jindal SAW, Escorts, APM Terminals etc. He was also associated with the companies like Apollo Tyres, Caparo Maruti, Eicher Motors, Hero Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Mico Bosch, Munjal Kiriu, Omax Auto, Pranjape Autocast, Samtel Colors, Samcor Glass, Sanden Vikas, TAFE Motors, Uma Precision, etc for TPM consultancy since 2004 onwards.

S Srinivasan

S Srinivasan is a mechanical Engineer with 36 years of Industrial experience; and spent 31 years with M/s Sundram Fasteners, TVS Group Company. Where, he is a part of various functions like Planning, Designing, Manufacturing, Business System and Strategies and headed TPM Secretariat.

He underwent training in Business Process Re-Engineering Programme by M/s Lucas Engineering Systems UK and TPM Instructors Course conducted by Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance, Tokyo.

He was the coordinator for TPM Implementation activities in Sundram Fasteners Ltd at Padi Chennai, Krishnapuram Madurai and Pondicherry Plants. He extended TPM consultation to Autolec Industry at Gummidipoondy, Chennai which was taken over by M/s Sundram Fasteners Ltd.

He has delivered many guest lectures on different aspects of TPM, organized at different centers across India by CII & TPM Club India. He is one of the Lead Faculty for TPM Facilitators Course

His paper on TPM PM Analysis at Quality convention by Quimpro college won the first prize - TATA STEEL Trophy in the year 2001.

Samir Adhikari

Mr Adhikari is working as Counsellor with CII TPM Club India and is providing Training and consultancy services on Total Productive Maintenance. He is a trained TPM Instructor from JIPM-S, Tokyo and has been working with companies assisting them in the areas of Total Productive Maintenance.

He was the main coordinator for implementing TPM at Vikram Cement, which was the first Indian company to receive the coveted Award for TPM Excellence from Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance.

He has very rich experience in implementing TPM in Process Industry and has worked with some international companies outside India as well.

He is an Engineer from IIT-Kharagpur and has completed ME in Control System.

Apart from TPM, he also has wide exposure on ISO 9000, ISO 14000, OHSAS 1800, Juran’s Continuous Quality Improvement Methodology, Six sigma and TOC (Theory of Constraints).


Mahendra Prasad

He was the TPM Co-ordinator for TPM implementation in Alexandaria Carbon Black Co. in Egypt from 1995-1999 under the guidance of Sueo Yamaguchi San and received TPM excellence award in 1999. This company was the first in whole of African Continent to receive TPM Excellence Award and TPM implementation for consistency award from 1999-2001 under the guidance of Yoshio Egami San

S Narasimhan

CII Institute of Quality

Narasimhan a man of versatile interests and credits is a MBA Graduate from Annamalai University. Having about 22 years of industrial experience, he has worked with welding major Advani. He was headed System Department at TANFAC (an Aditya Vikram Birla Group Company). The main function of System Department was to integrate TPM, TQM, WCM, ISO 9001-2000 and ISO 14001- 1996 to bring all in one fold to make use of the end users for easy implementation. He has implemented TPM and his credit weighed more in getting TPM Excellence Award 1st Category and visited to Japan to receive the Award in 1999 and he has also implemented and won the TPM Consistency Award Category in 2002 for TANFAC, being the first fluorine company in the world to get awarded. He has headed various sections like Materials, MIS, Sales & Logistics while practicing TPM at TANFAC.

As a man of dynamism, he was very much noted for voluble and numerous kaizens (improvements and innovations) which he made it as a hobby. He was very much instrumental in making people at TANFAC to imbibe the concept of TPM and made them to take responsibilities at their will. He has developed a new visual management-controlling program for Inventory Management both in computer and field, which helps in controlling cost and effort.

He has provided TPM consultancy services to M/s Shriram Fertilizers and Chemicals, Kota, SRF Carbide & PVC Industries, IOCL, Panipet and Gomti Sugar Works, UP through CII-TPM Club India.

Senior Counsellor TPM Club India, Confederation of Indian Industry

P.M.Janagiraman is having 23 years of Industrial experience.

15 years with TTK LIG LIMITED. He was the TPM Secretariat and also headed Manufacturing. As TPM Secretariat, he was the coordinator for TPM Implementation activities in TTK LIG Ltd, VIRUDHUNAGAR. He extended TPM implementation in Pondicherry plant as a vertical startup plant. Virudhnagar Plant successfully challenged 3 levels of award during his period as the TPM Secretariat.

He has delivered many guest lectures on different aspects of TPM organized at different centers across India by CII - TPM Club India.

He has won the Global Innovation Award by SSL International London U.K in 2004. He is the recipient of JIPM TPM Consistency award for TTK LIG limited for the year 2005.

He has worked for MRF Tyres in Pondicherry plant as TPM coordinator. He also has worked with MM Forgings Padappai Plant and coordinated the TPM activities in all the three plants.

Presently he is working with TPM Club India, CII as Senior Counsellor - TPM.

Ranjit Bhandari is a TPM Facilitator trained on the JIPM - TPM Methodology and is providing training and counseling services to Indian companies over the last 7 years. Some of the companies supported by hin include, Sona Koyo, Munjal Showa, Hero Honda Motors Ltd., Omax Ltd., Federal Mogul Goetze Ltd., Patiala and many others. He was also a co-faculty for a diagnostic assignment for TPM implementation and training to an Egyptian Company. In addition to this, he was also a faculty for TPM training programmes at leading companies like Tata Motors Ltd (Nano Plant), Tata Motors Ltd. (Pant Nagar Plant) and Wheels India Ltd. A G Krishnan

Mr. A G Krishnan is a graduate Engineer in Electronics & communication Engg. He has 32 years of experience in Process, manufacturing & assembly industries. He has 15 years of association with Hitachi ltd, Japan & obtained training in Manufacturing, Quality assurance & Design from them.

He has 25 years of exposure in process & 7 years in assembly industries. He is a Six Sigma Black belt . He has conducted 2 industrial audits for RBNQA as Examiner (process expert). He has conducted 9 vendor audits in China and has cross country exposure to Malaysia, Singapore, China, UK, Germany, Poland, Iran, Japan, Hong Kong & Indonesia.

He has worked in manufacturing and process function (16 Years), Quality Assurance (9years), Design (2 Years),TPM, TQM & Business excellence (7 Years).

His exposure to TPM started in 1986 with Hitachi ltd introduced the concept of machine operator maintain the machine. This concept has resulted in achieving high machine availability in the sealing process (99.85% monthly average) . He has Total exposure to JIPM,s TPM methodology. As head of TPM secretariat at M/S Ispat Industries ltd, Nagpur plant, he has driven the movement for JIPM,s Consistency of Excellence award and company received the award in 2008. He has implemented 8 TPM pillars in all depts.(manufacturing & manufacturing support) in the factory . He has hands on knowledge in all 8 TPM pillar training, 5S in Office and manufacturing areas, Pillar step performance audits (Gemba audits).

K.D. Saravanan

Counsellor - TPM Club India, Confederation of Indian Industry - Institute of Quality

Saravanan has Bachelors degree in Engineering Technology from BITS Pilani Rajasthan. He also has Diploma in TPM, Diploma in Supervisor technique and pursuing MS (Manufacturing management). He has gained experience of more than 17 years from various industry across World.

He has started his career with TVS Sundaram Brake Linings Limited and worked in Project, Engineering, Production, Maintenance, TPM and TQM department from 1994 to 2004. Where TPM, TQM and Lean being deployed religiously. It is first Indian friction material manufacturer to bag Deming award. It is first Indian company to bring the Lean concept in shop floor. Guided and trained by world senior consultants Mr.Tom Luyster, Tsuda san and Yamguchi san for deployment of Lean, TQM and TPM respectively at the shop floor. In this period total factory turned into high productivity factory. During this tenure, he was also deployed in M/s Sanghsin brakes at South Korea for technology transfer and reverse engineering for plant development. Transformed many U-lines in to model line, in Chennai and Madurai.

Then he has joined M/s Global Steel Holdings Limited as Sr Expert for the operations at Bulgaria, Libya and Nigeria. Responsible for deployment of TPM and Six Sigma for turnaround of operation from Feb-2004 to Jun-2007.

At SKF India Limited, as Head of Manufacturing Excellence ETW Business at Bangalore, he was responsible for deployment of TPM and Manufacturing Excellence in Bearing factory and Sealing factory from Jul-2007 to Aug-2010. During this period he was working along with SKF group companies for developing Manufacturing Excellence model and Lean simulation workshop.

Before joining CII Institute of Quality, Saravanan was with Ispat Industries Limited for deployment of TPM & Sustainability excellence from Sep-2010 to Mar-2011, through TS

He joined CII Institute of Quality in April-2011 as Counsellor TPM, Saravanan is part of the team which is providing TPM consultancy and training.

Apart from TPM, TQM and Lean, Saravanan is also a qualified Assessor for CII-EXIM Bank Award for Business Excellence and will be involving in the assessment of organisations based on the EFQM Model.
